A friendship ends...

To my friend... you know who you are... Good-bye

Whatever is said and whatever I do,
I want you to know I really loved you.
It was made clear... my thoughts were complete,
friends who tell lies are full of deceit.
You had my respect, my love and my trust,
but I thought you knew honesty was a must.
We were such great friends right from the start,
and saying these words is breaking my heart.
I don't understand why the truth was not said,
now the lies that you told resound in my head.
If you had just told me the truth... sure I might have been mad,
but the consequences wouldn't be quite so bad.
Don't try to write... don't email... don't call,
just know that the photos are still on my wall.
Not a day will go by when about you I don't care,
but time together never again will we share.
It didn't have to be such a quick end,
but I never lied to you my dear friend.
So don't look at me with those tears in your eyes,
you know how I feel about friends who tell lies.
